Data Collection

Data acquisition begins at the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) level and includes meter readings and equipment status reports that are communicated to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) as required. Data is then compiled and formatted in such a way that an operator using a Human Machine Interface (HMI) can make supervisory decisions to adjust or override normal RTU or PLC controls. Data may also be fed to a data repository (Historian) to allow trending and other analytical auditing.

Can-Technologies engineers have solid domain expertise and deep knowledge and experience with current database technologies to design, development, and implement database solutions.

From requirement evaluation through to system design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and training and support, you can be confident that the engineering team will work closely with you to design a robust and effective data collection, storage and retrieval solution that it will enable you to collect, archive and distribute large volumes of data work reliably.
